Diesel locomotives in action on the Dockyard railway this weekend.
Please note that these are demonstration freight trains and as such are unable to carry passengers.

13th & 14th September 2008

Join one of our special free "hidden heritage" tours to areas of The Historic Dockyard not normally accessible to visitors. This year the tour takes you to the Cock Loft and Manilla Room of the Victorian Ropery and finishes on the impressive Ropewalk.

Tours last approx 45 minutes to 1hour and spaces must be pre-booked by calling 01634 823845 or 823826.
Normal admission prices apply to visit the rest of The Historic Dockyard.

20th - 21st September 2008
10am - 6pm (Galleries close from 5.15)


Step back in time to the Dockyard of the 1940s and enjoy a fantastic weekend of nostalgia, memories, wartime experiences and entertainment as the Dockyard is brought alive by the vehicles, uniforms, music and activities of Britain at War.  In just two years this has become a firm favourite with many.  A fund-raising event in aid of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust.
