  1. How much are group tickets?

  1. What is the minimum number of people for a group visit?
The minimum amount of people for a group visit is 15 people.
 
  1. Is there an extra cost for special events and touring exhibitions?
No there is no extra charge, all special events and touring exhibitions are included in the group ticket price.
 
  1. What are your opening and closing times?

  1. How far in advance do we need to book our group in?
All groups need to book at least 14 days in advance, paying a deposit of £1.00 per person; this deposit will then be taken off of the final amount on the day of your visit.
 
  1. How do we pay?
Payment can be either by credit card/ cheque/ cash or invoiced after the visit. The full payment needs to be given on the day of your visit.
 
  1. How much is coach parking?
Parking at The Historic Dockyard is free of charge; there is also a drop off point for groups outside the main visitor’s entrance.
 
  1. When is the best time to visit?
School holidays and weekends are our busiest periods, depending on the type of group you may wish to visit at quieter times, or if you are a youth group, take part in our school holiday activities.
 
  1. How long do we need for a group visit?
We suggest a minimum of two to four hours to see our main attractions but you can easily spend the whole day exploring around The Dockyard. If you are limited for time please speak to our groups department for a suggested itinerary.
 
  1. Do we need to book in advance for any of the galleries and attractions?
The Victorian Ropery – This is a guided tour which is time ticket entrance only, please speak to our group sales department to reserve a time slot for your group.
 
HM Submarine Ocelot – is also timed ticket entrance only this can be booked on the day of your visit individually by your group members, with the tour guides at the Submarine.
 
  1. Do you offer guided tours in different languages?
We are able to offer The Royal Dockyard Tour which is now a firm favourite with groups, in French, German and Dutch. You must book in advance for this tour.
 
  1. Are you able to help us plan an itinerary?
Our dedicated group sales department will be more than happy to help plan your visit and will put itineraries together to ensure your group has a brilliant day.

  1. What do you offer exclusively to groups for example tours/catering?
We have a range of guided tours to suit all groups, if there are certain interests in specific time periods or parts of The Dockyard we are able to tailor any tours for you, please contact our groups department for further information.
